Potters Hand Resource Centre was established in 2014 with the aim of admitting students to study abroad and to ensure that students are provided with inclusive and equitable quality formal education and training through effective and efficient management of resources to make education delivery relevant to the ordinary person.

PHRC encourages all students to participate in an international experience. Study Abroad is often described as a "life changing experience" by those who participate in short-term programs or semester abroad, but how can one quantify the experience? What are the goals of such experiences? PHRC promotes international experiences as opportunities for participants to develop in the following areas:

Demonstrate awareness of cultural values and biases and how these impact their ability to work with others.

Demonstrate knowledge of diversity with a focus on the population or topic of interest in the specific Study Abroad program.

Communicate appropriately and effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

Demonstrate an increased capacity to analyze issues with appreciation for disparate viewpoints and to explore international opportunities after returning home.
